Wow Air announced Tuesday it would begin offering flights to Iceland from Los Angeles International Airport at prices as low as $99 each way. This could become a great resource to find a new adventure for you and your family!

The relatively new Icelandic airline also said it would offer $199 flights for travelers who stopover in Iceland and then continue on to London, Paris, Berlin and 18 other European destinations.

I did a quick online check and found $99 seats still available from LAX to Reykjavik in mid-October. Other destinations are available for $199 each way, but seats are selling fast.

Wow offers the same starting prices at San Francisco International Airport. Service is set to begin June 9 from SFO and June 15 from LAX.

Flights from L.A. to Reykjavik will operate four days a week with connecting flights to Europe. Service from San Francisco to Iceland will operate five days a week.

–Free, small carry-on luggage up to 11 pounds
–$48 for a larger carry-on bag
–$67 for a first checked bag
–$10 to $12 for seat reservations

The airline says it will be using long-range A330-300 aircraft for the longer hauls from the West Coast.

Wow started offering $99 fares from the East Coast (Boston and Baltimore) to Iceland last March.
