The hectic nature of everyday life can drive us crazy. Capturing and reflecting on precious memories can be the key to regaining your sanity.

Kate is always telling her husband about her irregular sleep caused by multiple thoughts rushing through her mind at night. Stephen (Kate’s husband) finally asked her to create a picture of all the thoughts that rush into her mind when she is about to go to sleep. Stephen posted the picture on Reddit under the username bpwwhirl. While posting the picture, he wrote the caption, “I asked my spouse to create me an image of all the thoughts that are in her mind and here is her reaction”.

mom thoughts

Stephen generated about 2.7 million visitors due to the amazing picture. The picture contains multiple thoughts like “the Girl Scouts”, “My children are the best and evil”,”I want a milkshake”, “Feeling so sleepy”, “I like TV + BBL”, “I hate student loans”, “My sister is having a baby… etc”, “and where is that thing? Still can’t find it from more than 2 years ago”, “dress cute look pretty”, “work, co-workers, students, teachers”, “hobbies, plan dates”, “did that person look at me funny, am I looking at them funny? Judgy people suck… am I Judgy”, and “Stephen makes me happy, make him happy, is my best friend, we should do it now”. I have a feeling this was only the tip of the iceberg.

Stephen and Kate live in Georgia and are happily married. They have two kids, a boy (4 years old) and a girl (7 years old). “I would say I think about most of those things she mentions, replacing some of her personal issues with mine,” he says. “However, I would venture that those thoughts are spread out over the course of a day for me. They certainly don’t all bounce around at the same time.

“But to be honest, a peek inside my mind most days would probably look like X-Wings and TIE Fighters,” he says.

Everyday we are faced with hundreds of problems, everyday we have to look at these problems and face them one at a time often leaving a few things left unattended to. They say there is only so much time in a day and even when we try cut through the noise and see to our responsibilities one by one we don’t have time for everything.
